The Sunken creek hiking trail located in the Easy Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada near the historic town of Fort Steele. The trail was originally built in the 1890 as a service trail for the Dibble mine. Using pack horses, miners would bring ore down the trail to nearby town of Fort Steele.
Sunken Creek Trail is a steep accent through a dense forested valley that cuts through the Steeple Mountains. As the name suggests, the trail roughly follows Sunken Creek, crossing the creek several times using log bridges. Hikers should be forwarded that the log bridges can be very slippery when wet or frosty.
Through-out the trail, hikers will find old remnants or pioneer life, including the foundations of old cabins and an old mine entrances.

Casey Anderson, a naturalist from Montana has a very unusual best friend … a full grown grizzly bear named Brutus. He rescued the grizzly bear from an overpopulated wildlife park when he was still a cub and since then has raised Brutus to an 800 pound adult bear.
Casey raised Brutus with a lot of love and attention, which has literally turned Brutus into a super-sized teddy bear of sorts. Brutus is so comfortable around humans that he joins Casey and his family at the table during thanksgiving dinner. When Casey married actress Missy Pyle, Brutus acted as Casey’s best man.

The Osprey (Pandion haliaetus) also called the Fish Eagle, is a large migratory raptor that can be found in all the continents except Antarctica.
Identification
Ospreys are easy to identify and can only really confused with Bald Eagles. The Osprey is fifty to sixty six centimetres (20–26 inches) in length with a dark back. The underside is white with dark specs and the head is also white with a dark mask around the eyes. The eyes are golden, with both the beak and talons being black. The white breast and dark eye mask make it easy distinguishable from the bald eagle.
